Celine Cannon is a Sculptor from Ireland, based in New York, working primarily in Stone and Fiber. She apprenticed at her family’s Quarry in Dublin where the ancient techniques were passed down through the generations.
“My works in stone are a response to my environment, my relationships with people, places and things. Contained within a geometric form, clean lines, acute angles and varying planes signify dimensions of thought and lend structure to concepts, while space, volume, proportion and texture, represent depth of emotion.
As a contracted artist, Celine has carved architectural details and moldings for several building facades throughout New York (some with landmark status) to name a few: Columbia University - Butler Library, Jewish Museum, Metropolitan Museum, New York Public Library, Verizon Building Restoration - Ground Zero.
